2007 – U7s Mitre Tournament
Having trained for most of
the season indoors at the Manningtree Sports
Centre, focusing on the development of football skills, it was lovely in April
to venture outdoors again to
At that point the U7's started to play in matches, the first of which was against the Club's good friends at Gt Bentley. This was shortly followed by 2x R&T Mitre Cup Tournaments, which involved playing teams from all over the country and it was a real experience, not least being presented participation trophies by Clive Allen and Tony Cottee.
To see the players in the first game, compared to the progress they had made by the last was tremendous. Parents/Guardians will be amazed to see how quickly they will continue to develop as a team from this point.

Well done to all the
players, not only for the matches played in, but all the hard work put in
throughout the 2007/8 season. Looking forward to seeing this
team grow next season in the

Thanks to all the parents for their continued support and especially by allowing their child and the team to play without pressure. Being a football parent is a bigger responsibility than you may realise!
